Additional Docs & info required when making and application for a PSV Operator Licence

In addition to the documentation initially asked for on the application for a PSV operator licence there are documents and evidence that the Traffic Commissioners Office will almost certainly ask for.

The OTC will ask for photographs of the proposed operating centre. In particular they will ask for photos of the parking area, the exit and entrance and the approach to the Operating Centre. You will also need to show there is adequate room to perform a Daily Walkaround Check.

If you are applying for a Restricted PSV Operator Licence then it is highly likely that the OTC will ask for a business plan for the Minibus venture detailing income and expenditure. They will also ask for proof of your main income in the form of payslips or accounts.

If you are applying for a National or international PSV Operator Licence and intend to use the services of an External Transport Manager the OTC is likely to ask for a copy of the contract between the ETM and the applicant.
