Interim Operator licence
An interim licence is a temporary licence that can be granted whilst the application is being reviewed and it can be used while you are waiting for your permanent licence. It's not always guaranteed that the Traffic Commissioner will grant it even if you pay for it. Interim licenses are only available for HGV applications, not for PSV (passenger). Interim licenses can be granted within a few days to a few weeks and there's no way to know in advance how long it may take. Interim licenses are usually valid for six months.
